School Annual Day, one of the mega events of the school, sparks up the creative talents of the teachers who very meticulously frame the theme and the splendid cultural programme while the students from classes 1 to 12 captivate every heart of the audience by their mellifluous performance, thus the days of dedicated practice and the D-day is filled with festivity, celebration and felicitation of the successful toppers and proficiency prize winners. The evening is well spent with the designated Guest of Honour, members of the management, parents, faculty and alumni.
ANNUAL DAY was celebrated on 30th August 2024 at Anna Centenary Library and was presided by
Smt. Nithyashree Mahadevan, Carnatic vocalist. The academic and co scholastic achievers of the year 2023-24 were appreciated and acknowledged with various endowment prizes. Students performed on the theme Prakritirakshaya Lokaraksha.
ANNUAL DAY was celebrated on 16th September 2023 at Anna Centenary Library and was presided by Smt. Priya.S Dixit, Head, Smt. Prabha.S Dixit, Additional Head, Akshar Arbol International School. The zestful achievers of the year 2022-23 were acknowledged with various endowment prizes. The cultural programme titled ‘Vedic Dharpan’ staged by the students was well appreciated by all.
Annual Day “Sanskriti Mahotsav” was celebrated on 31st October 2022 at Narada Gana Sabha,Chennai. The chief guest for the evening Shri Anil Srinivasan renowned pianist, recipient of the Kalaimamani Award and founder of Rhapsody Plus, presided over the formal function and distributed the prizes. In his keynote address, he praised the school for its marvellous efforts in providing several platforms and a variety of opportunities thereby helping in fostering the talents of the girls. Ensuing this was the cultural programmme, put on by the wonderful girls, that beautifully portrayed the significance of celebrating festivals and traditions as per the Indian way of life.
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY
Adhering to all the designated protocol related to the ongoing pandemic, Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on March 29th, 2021 to honour Class 12 School and subject toppers in the Board Examination2020 for their astounding academic achievements. Shri. Vijay Kumar Gauhar, Secretary, DAV BHEL and Convenor, DAV Gill Nagar, and Shri. Lalit Nangia, President, Arya Samaj Central and Convenor, DAV Group of Schools, Mogappair, graced the occasion and distributed the prizes.
‘Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” The Annual Athletic Meet brings in a boosting performance by the girls who make use of the opportunity to participate and exhibit the rich range of sports commensurate with their abilities. It inculcates the qualities of Good Sportsmanship – be supportive, have a positive attitude, be respectful, be willing to learn and practice self-control among the athletes. Students from classes 6-12 participate in track and field events while the Primary students run in a Mini Marathon at the Meet, and several sports events conducted in the campus.
Annual Athletic Meet of the School was conducted on 5th and 6th August 2024 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Mr.Aswathaaman Sridhar and Ms.Surabi Puhazhendi were the guests of honour.
