Over the years, National cadet Corps has developed into the premier youth organization in the country. Today it has been established itself as a variable auxiliary to the education system. The Corps is engaged in the character building of the student community, as a national investment for the future. NCC helps students in shaping a multifaceted personality.
Our school is proud to inaugurate the NCC (Army Wing) New Raising in our school on 16th October 2019. It was inaugurated by our chief guest MAJOR. KALAIVANI VILLAVANKOTHAI, Administrative officer 1(TN) GIRLS BN NCC.
There are 50 cadets enrolled in Army Wing and 25 cadets in Navy Wing. In accordance with the motto “Unity and discipline”, the cadets are inculcated with basic military training such as Drill, shooting, Physical fitness, map reading,
First aid, boat pulling, sailing and camp training covering basic of military training in Army and Navy.
Our cadets participated in the following adventure training activities, social service activities and awareness campaigns.
Four cadets Nivedhitha K, Thanmayya Vinod, KashmiraNavalan and Kashvi C Pathak from our school were selected to represent 1(TN) Girls BN, Madras ‘A’ as RDC probables to attend RD camps after 6 days of intense selection process which includes(drill, theory, extempore, current affairs and GK) at DGVaishnavCollege.
NCC ‘A’ Certificate exam was conducted for our First batch cadets of the Army Wing in Feb 2020.
A Tear dependably goes to my eye,
To see my nation’s flag waving high,
We are proud of all those heroes,
who sail across seas with honour,
To protect our banner.
NCC NAVY, the traditional trend setter is renowned for its outstanding performance and for setting high standards in everything they do and everywhere. In DAV the Naval Wing was introduced in the year 2020.
A formal virtual inauguration of the NCC Naval Unit was held on 29th January, 2021.The programme was streamed live on Zoom. The Chief Guest was Commodore J.Suresh, Commandant Embarkation HQ Chennai. The programme was presided over by Mr. Ramanavelavan, Chief NCC Officer and Principal, D.A.V Sec School, Mogappair. Mr. Vaisakh, Petty Officer from the NCC Unit and the members of the Management.
NCC Navy is not only known for its achievements but also for its excellent and unending services rendered to society. The enthusiastic Naval Cadets of our school sensitised the public through the virtual participation in the following Awareness activities
